The
GPAQ team
GPAQ
was developed under the direction of Professor
Martin Roland. Martin is the Director of the National Primary Care
Research and Development Centre and Professor of General Practice at
Manchester University. He is also a practising GP in a large practice
in central Manchester.
GPAQ
was developed from the GPAS questionnaire which has been used in our
research over the past five years. Nicki
Mead, Pete
Bower and Stephen
Campbell, all research fellows at NPCRDC, have all been involved
in the development and validation of these questionnaires. Professor
John Campbell of Peninsula Medical School has also contributed to
the research we have done on patient questionnaires. Our original GPAS
questionnaire was developed from the Primary Care Assessment Survey
(PCAS) with the assistance of Dr Dana Gelb Safran. PCAs has been widely
used in the United States.
Sylvia
Wright is the GPAQ administrator and has been involved in many
research programmes at NPCRDC..
